Seven Reasons

Why ICO Pass beats the competition

TYPICAL SOLUTIONS

KYC check is a manual process – lengthy and open to human error.

Are inaccurate because rely on just a few databases for verification.

Are like a black box – not possible in an easy way to determine why the result was as it was.

Not possible to  guarantee that  KYC process information has not been altered; inability to rely on the processes used.

Will need to put additional measures in place to comply with General Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR) starting from May 2018.

Need to put millions into keeping information secure. Also not suited for blockchain use cases, where it is necessary to verify the address that can access data.

Cost > 230 EUR per check.

ICO PASS

Process is automated and takes 7 minutes. No place for errors.

Can add and remove multiple databases for identity verification.

Transparent about what databases were checked and how accurate it is – how much of the population in a specific country it covers.

Blockchain technology guarantees that once verified, it will stay the same. Other parties can rely on this and do not need to start the process over again.

Information is encrypted and only the identifiable person can get access to it.

Blockchain technology gives a higher security at a lower cost. ICO Pass also verifies Ethereum addresses that want to access KYC data.

7 EUR per check.

Things to remember about 7

7 min – length of KYC check per person. Please note that writing the identity in blockchain might take additional time; however, it does not require any further input from the user from that point.

7 EUR – price per identification.

7% – percentage of ICO Pass revenue distributed to token holders every year.

1. What is AML?

Anti Money Laundering (AML) is typically associated with financial institutions as a set of requirements to detect, report, and prevent money laundering. A part of that is know your customer procedures that involve a person’s identification, sanction screening, and more. Not complying with these rules will lead to big fines from the regulators.

2. What is KYC?

Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures are a set of procedures to identify customers. They consist of ID document verification, face similarity check, address verification, sanction list and PEP screening, e-mail and/or phone verification, and more. This is needed in order to be confident that the person is not involved in criminal activities and that they are who they say they are.

3. Why does an ICO need KYC?

Banks and now Crypto Exchanges can get hefty fines if they do not follow Anti Money Laundering (AML) rules and carry out KYC checks. Whenever somebody wants to convert cryptocurrency to fiat, they will need to show that the source of the funds meets AML rules. Otherwise cryptocurrency can not be exchanged or can be frozen.

4. What will I receive by buying ICO Pass tokens?

In total there will be 500k tokens that will between them guarantee 7% of the revenue from ICO Pass. As long as a person holds tokens, they will receive a percentage of revenue. Future related products may have a different revenue sharing distribution and this will be announced publicly upon product launch.

5. What kind of tokens will they be?

ERC20.

6. Where will they be listed?

Initially, exchange of tokens will be possible directly between users using Decentralised Exchanges such as Radar Relay.

7. When I will receive my tokens?

You will receive them in your wallet immediately after the sale.

8. When I will receive my percentage from the revenue?

Every quarter.

9. When does the Sale start?

Registration for the token sale starts on 21 February 2018. The sale itself starts on 28 February 2018.

10. How will I know the correct address to send the funds?

The address will be published on the  www.icopass.id main page.

11. Will ICO Pass tokens give me rights to equity in the company?

No.

12. What protects me against the team building a v2 product without me?

By doing that, the team would be involved in legal proceedings and all assets would be frozen. It will also damage reputation and brand. Therefore it does not make economic sense to do it.

13. If ICO Pass is used by banks, will I also receive revenue from that?

ICO Pass will only be sold to ICOs and Cryptocurrency Exchanges. There will be another product in the future, and ICO Pass token holders will receive five tokens for this product free of charge. These tokens will guarantee revenue sharing from that product, in the same way as ICO Pass.

14. How will you acquire ICOs to use your product?

There are several sites where ICOs are listed. It is easy to get in contact and offer the product as ICO organizers list their products early.

15. Why Ethereum?

We believe that it has the highest developer activity and will allow new emerging use cases in the future.

16. What currencies can I invest in?

Ethereum.

17. What currency will I receive my funds in?

Ethereum.

18. How will the Machine Learning for automated AML strategy development work?

In 2019, we will offer automated AML strategy development to the first ICOs and Cryptocurrency Exchanges. The more it is used by companies, the more precise it will become.

20. How will you guarantee a high accuracy?

ICO Pass will return transparently to ICO organizers the percentage confidence with which we guarantee the result. For a more precise result, the ICO organizer can choose to add additional databases to the check. In order to achieve this, we will work with several service providers and carry out integration with offline databases ourselves.
